Found this quite interesting. I love bitching about shit popular music... but this actually gives my (as well as the rest of the free-thinking music lovers on this planet) argument some substance. Not only is the music these Major record labels pump out shit, but the very existence of these major labels is damaging the industry's creativity, diversity, sincerity, etc.
